The internet has certainly made our world a whole lot smaller than it was when we relied on postage and print media. One of my favourite sites shows many of the Fuchsias grown by  Mr Carl Roes www.Roessefuchsia.com

UNUSUAL FUCHSIAS .

Look at the fourth picture (Triplestar) we would welcome comments and explanations of this unusual flower.

This is a petaloid - or an accessory petal again your comments are welcome.

I came across this photo on a CD and found the roots coming out of the pot quite intriguing. I have read somewhere that as soon as you see roots coming out of the bottom of the pot it is time to repot either into a larger pot or to trim the roots and replace in the same pot. This plant does not seem to mind.

Sport of Carmen Maria.         Leonora                                   Carmen Maria.

Carmen Maria is a sport of Leonora.

The unnamed flowers in the collage are a sport of Carmen Maria..

A "sport" is a shoot spontaneously arising from a plant and producing either variegated leaves or flowers that are different to the host and usually lighter in colour.

All the flowers in the collage are on one plant - note that they are different. This plant is a cutting from Bunty Milton who has had singles and doubles on the same variegated leafed plant.
